Writing and Directing :
Erin Greenwell recently directed her feature film "My Best Day" which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2012.
While "My Best Day" makes the festival rounds, Erin is proud to have been selected for this year's Outfest Screenwriter's Lab for
her script, "Somewhere Along the Way", a narrative feature based on the butch/femme lesbian bar scene in Buffalo, NY during the 1950s.
Erin formed Smithy Productions, a production company, with the aim to house various talents from the lesbian/ independent art community under the umbrella of narrative/ documentary storytelling.

Ms. Greenwell is an established picture editor for film and television. Erin is currently serving as picture editor on the feature, “Clutter” starring Carol Kane, Natasha Lyonne, Dan Hedaya, Joshua Leonard and Halley Feiffer. She is also serving on the documentary, Hoonah's Heroes, profiling the extraordinary stories of Tlingit Vietnam War veterans from the village of Hoonah, Alaska.
Television credits include TLC, Animal Planet, Bio and PBS.

Erin also teaches directing, production and editing .
She believes teaching empowers individuals to be their own storytellers, ultimately building community through production and altering the landscape of visibility in film and TV.
Erin's ultimate goal would be to create a business/arts school for women. Teaching experience includes: NYU SCPS, Hunter College, City College and individual instruction.
